Relationships: Facing the Future
This piece was commissioned as part of a set of postcards to celebrate a wedding.
Inspiration
I wanted to evoke the hope and uncertainty of embarking on a meaningful relationship with a partner, where the future feels huge and full of potential. In the face of this, it’s the strength of the love between two people that can give them the courage to adventure forward together.
Method
The sky and planets, and contours of the ground, were created with black ink and a sponge, as separate images. These were scanned and combined, and the colour and details of the two figures were added digitally.
