Charity Campaign: Loneliness - Not wanted, not invited and not welcome
One in a series of illustrations for Arts & Health South West as part of their campaign to tackle loneliness.
Inspiration
Each image in this series was based on quotes from people sharing their real-life experiences of loneliness. This quote picks up on the pain of feeling excluded, and how self-hatred can attach itself to experiences of rejection.
Method
This image was created by using a mixture of ink and a sponge to create the textures on the bodies, handmade marbled textures from marbled paper, with the colour and finer details added digitally.
