Desire: Regret
An image from a set of illustrations commissioned for a poetry book about desire.
Inspiration:
This image was inspired by a theme in the book of dealing with the feeling of regret or guilt that can come when you follow your desires to somewhere painful or destructive. The phrase from the poetry that inspired this image was “she could have turned back”.
Method:
The textured background was made using black India ink and a sponge. The colour and the figure were added digitally.
